On a Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, the life of 50-year-old Maurice Nash was cut short in a burst of gunfire. The incident, which occurred on December 5, 2021, was the second double shooting in the city within the span of a single hour. Responding to reports of a person shot, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the 800 block of Eugene Street, near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
