On a Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, the life of 50-year-old Maurice Nash was cut short in a burst of gunfire. The incident, which occurred on December 5, 2021, was the second double shooting in the city within the span of a single hour. Responding to reports of a person shot, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the 800 block of Eugene Street, near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street and West 30th Street, to a grim scene.
