John L. Howard Sr., a Black male, 56, was shot on the evening of Thursday, October 30, 2025, in the 800 block of East Olney Road in Norfolk, Virginia. Officers who were already in the area around 5:22 p.m. heard multiple gunshots and found him suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his wounds.
