In the summer of 2011, the life of 32-year-old Dekar Kareen Jones was cut short by gunfire in Norfolk, Virginia. On the early morning of June 18th, a dispute escalated into a fatal shooting on Selden Avenue, leaving Jones, a local man, dead and a community in search of answers. The incident prompted a thorough investigation by the Norfolk Police Department, which quickly sought to bring those responsible to justice.
