On October 6, 2024, Norfolk resident Jared A. Jordan, aged 49, was fatally shot in the 1600 block of Hunter Street. Police responded to the incident around 9:40 p.m., finding Jordan with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
