In the Huntersville neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia, a Sunday evening turned tragic, marking the untimely death of 49-year-old Jared A. Jordan. On the evening of October 6, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., police responded to a call of a gunshot victim in the 1600 block of Hunter Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Jordan suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Emergency services transported Jared A. Jordan to a local hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The Norfolk Police Department is actively investigating the shooting as a homicide.
