Masey Watson, 26, a Black woman from Covington, Georgia, left for work on the morning of October 6, 2025 and never made it home. On Salem Road near Fairview Road in Rockdale County, witnesses saw a car veer into a ditch. They watched Watson climb out and try to run, only for a man in a ski mask to force her to the asphalt and open fire. She was rushed to a hospital, where she died from her wounds later that day.
