In the quiet town of Covington, Georgia, the life of 28-year-old female Shakeema Brown Jackson, a newly sworn-in Fulton County sheriff's deputy, was tragically cut short on the night of October 27, 2021. Inside her Windcrest Drive home, a place she shared with her husband and their 17-month-old child, a fatal shooting occurred that also claimed the life of her 30-year-old brother, Levoy Brown. The child was present in the house at the time of the incident but was physically unharmed.
