In a quiet home on Highway 142 in Covington, Georgia, a grim discovery was made on a Tuesday evening. Elizabeth Goggins, a 63-year-old woman, was found deceased from a gunshot wound alongside 72-year-old Oscar Goggins. The Newton County Sheriff's Office was called to the residence around 6:12 p.m. following a report of a person being shot.
