In the quiet, early morning hours of July 17, 2025, a tragedy unfolded inside a home on Oak Meadows Drive in Covington, Georgia, ending the life of 50-year-old Kowanda Richardson Glenn. Responding to a 911 call around 12:20 a.m., Newton County sheriff's deputies arrived at the residence to a grim scene. Inside, they discovered the bodies of Kowanda and her 20-year-old son, Mikhail Glenn. Both had been fatally shot.
At the scene, deputies were met by Kowanda's husband, 53-year-old Willie Glenn, who informed them that his wife and son had been shot.
