In the heart of Birmingham, Alabama, a young life full of promise was tragically cut short. Ja’Carium Quavonte Amison, a 21-year-old male known affectionately as “Tank,” passed away on October 15, 2025. His death, which occurred in the Midfield area, was the result of a gunshot wound.
From a young age, Ja’Carium was known for his upbeat and smiling nature. Though quiet as a small child, he grew into a charismatic young man who brought joy and laughter to those he encountered.
He was a 2023 graduate of Wenonah High School and had been a diligent worker since the age of 14, holding various jobs at establishments such as Urban Air, Piggly Wiggly, Domino's, Dollar Tree, and most recently, Church's Chicken. His strong work ethic was matched by his ambition to become a famous streamer, a husband, and a father who could provide for his family.
On that fateful October evening on 12th Street, a firearm accidentally discharged, leading to the fatal injury of Ja'Carium. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed that the shooting was accidental. There have been no reports of any arrests made or suspects sought in connection with the incident, as authorities deemed it a tragic accident. The community was left to mourn a young man who was remembered for his beaming personality and his intentional efforts to show love and encouragement to his family and friends.
