Vincent Taylor, 38, a Black male, was found shot just inside the entrance of the Quality Hill Towers apartment building in the 900 block of Jefferson Street in downtown Kansas City shortly after 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2025. Officers were responding to a shots-fired call when they learned someone had been hit; when they arrived, they located Taylor just inside the building and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
