Samuel J. Hughes, age 36, and his brother Jeffrey J. Hughes, age 33, were both victims of a fatal shooting that occurred on January 2, 2025, in the 8700 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard in south Kansas City, Missouri. The incident took place around 7:30 PM when police were dispatched to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found both men suffering from gunshot wounds, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
