Witnesses said the shooter fled immediately after the gunfire, and police noted the chaotic scene inside the home in the moments after the shot.
Officers said the assailant left the area, and separate reports indicated two suspects drove away in a black Dodge Ram following the shooting. As of the initial day's updates and subsequent identification by the medical examiner, no arrests had been announced and the case remained under investigation, with San Antonio police seeking the person or persons responsible for killing Paul Rogelio Cabrera, 21, male.
