In the late hours of Saturday, January 3, 2026, a violent altercation at a South Side motel in San Antonio, Texas, claimed the life of 39-year-old Daniel Mendoza. The incident occurred at the Sunrise Motel in the 4500 block of South Presa Street, where Mendoza was involved in a dispute with an unidentified individual. The argument escalated, resulting in Mendoza being shot in the head.
