Roger Keith Wallace, a 48-year-old African American man, died on March 19, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, as a result of a shooting incident. The event occurred around 8 p.m. at the Beagle Pub & Eatery located on Fredericksburg Road. According to reports, Wallace was on the bar's outdoor patio with friends when an unidentified man approached and initiated a physical altercation. During the confrontation, the assailant produced a firearm and shot Wallace multiple times.
Wallace attempted to flee but collapsed a short distance away. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect fled the scene and, as of the latest available information, has not been apprehended.
Born on December 23, 1976, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Wallace was the son of Roger Lee Wallace and Dorothy Mae Jones. He was known affectionately as "Peedie Boy" and was a devoted husband to Robbie Wallace, whom he married on June 18, 2007. Wallace was a licensed barber, having started cutting hair at the age of 13 and obtaining his license in 1995. He was also a member of True Vision Baptist Church and was remembered for his generosity, mentorship, and community involvement.
Wallace's death was officially ruled a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds. The San Antonio Police Department continues to investigate the case, and no arrests have been reported in connection with the shooting.
