On the evening of March 29, 2026, a dispute on the south side of San Antonio tragically cut short the life of 29-year-old Victor Rebollar Zamorano, a man of Mexican heritage. What began as an argument between two groups escalated into a fatal triple shooting. Zamorano, along with his two cousins, ages 17 and 23, found themselves the targets of a relentless pursuit that ended in a hail of gunfire in the parking lot of a Walgreens at Southeast Military Drive and South Flores Street.
The assailants, who remain at large, unleashed a volley of shots into the victims' vehicle before vanishing into the night.
In the immediate aftermath, a desperate attempt by the wounded to reach a hospital ended when their vehicle, after a series of minor collisions, crashed into an auto repair shop. When emergency services arrived, they found Victor Zamorano had succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His two younger cousins were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. San Antonio police have not yet released any information regarding potential suspects or the vehicle they were driving, and no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.

He had been in the United States for just over a year, working as a house painter with the dream of building a home for his sister and her children, whom he cherished as his own.
