In a tragic turn of events that left a Richmond, Virginia community in mourning, 49-year-old Kendra Renae Irby was found dead in her Southside apartment on June 10, 2025. The grim discovery was made by Richmond Police officers who were called to the Angela Drive apartment for a welfare check. Upon entering the residence, they found both Kendra and her 24-year-old son, Kenyon Irby, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
