In the spring of 1992, the city of Richmond, Virginia, was gripped by a growing sense of fear, particularly among its elderly residents. This anxiety was tragically realized on May 21st with the discovery of 81-year-old Martha Bolden, a Black woman, who was found murdered in the sanctity of her own home. The brutal nature of her death, caused by stabbing, sent shockwaves through her community and marked another grim chapter in a series of similar, disturbing crimes.
