Noony Norwood, a 30-year-old transgender woman, was tragically shot and killed in Richmond, Virginia, on November 6, 2016. The incident occurred in the early morning hours as Norwood was walking away from a dance club located in the 2700 block of Hull Street. According to Richmond Police Detective Anthony Coates, a car pulled up, and someone either got out of the car or shot from the car, hitting Norwood multiple times. She fell in the street and succumbed to her injuries.
