In the early hours of June 19, 2025, Black male, Aaron D. Williams Jr., 19, was shot on the 900 block of Goochland Street in Norfolk, near Olde Huntersville and steps from Huntersville Park. Responding officers arrived around 2 a.m. to find the 19-year-old with life-threatening gunshot wounds; Aaron D. Williams Jr., 19, was rushed to a hospital, where the 19-year-old male later died.
