On a Saturday evening in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 30, 2020, a 30-year-old man named Shelvin D. Alston was shot and killed. The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of Oaklawn Avenue, in the Broad Creek area of the city. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found Alston suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location.
