On June 29, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Norfolk police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 9600 block of 1st Bay Street in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Ali K. Muhammad suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Tragically, Muhammad was pronounced dead at the scene.
