In the late hours of May 30, 2014, a sense of normalcy was shattered in Norfolk, Virginia, by a sudden and senseless act of violence. Seventeen-year-old Mark Rodriguez, a rising senior at Norfolk Christian Schools, was driving home after attending his school's graduation festivities when his life was tragically cut short. Unbeknownst to him, a man named James Brown had embarked on a random shooting spree, and Mark tragically became one of his victims.
Police do not believe Rodriguez was specifically targeted.
