In the early morning hours of December 9, 2023, a tragedy unfolded at an Econo Lodge on North Military Highway in Norfolk, Virginia, that claimed the life of 52-year-old Charles F. Moore. Responding to a report of a gunshot victim at approximately 5:20 a.m., police officers arrived to find Moore suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
