In the early hours of a Wednesday in Norfolk, Virginia, tragedy struck, leaving a family to mourn and a community to wonder. On February 15, 2023, Nygee L. Carpenter, a 34-year-old male, was found suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The call came in around 12:15 a.m., directing police to the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road.
