Jaquarius Jones, a 17-year-old from Brookhaven, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on December 24, 2015. The incident occurred during an attempted robbery that escalated into a fatal shooting. Jones was found on Flora Street and was transported to King’s Daughters Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 7:30 a.m. by Deputy Coroner Robert Tyler. The initial call to the police came in at 7:01 a.m. when Jones was seen running into the road and collapsing.
