In the late morning hours of a Saturday in Madison, Tennessee, a verbal dispute in the parking lot of a Mapco convenience store on Neelys Bend Road escalated with deadly consequences. The altercation, which occurred on August 9, 2025, involved Chris Bond II, a 25-year-old male, and another man. Witnesses later recounted to investigators that Bond had been in the parking lot approaching people to ask for a ride, with some describing his behavior as disorderly.
