In the late morning hours of a Saturday in Madison, Tennessee, a verbal dispute in the parking lot of a Mapco convenience store on Neelys Bend Road escalated with deadly consequences. The altercation, which occurred on August 9, 2025, involved Chris Bond II, a 25-year-old male, and another man. Witnesses later recounted to investigators that Bond had been in the parking lot approaching people to ask for a ride, with some describing his behavior as disorderly.
The brief but heated
argument between Bond and the other individual concluded when the man produced a firearm and shot Bond at approximately 9:55 a.m. As Bond lay wounded, the shooter fled the scene in his vehicle. Officers from the Madison Precinct were the first to arrive and immediately began rendering emergency aid to Bond before he was transported to Skyline Medical Center. Despite their efforts, Chris Bond II succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Homicide detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department quickly developed strong leads in their investigation. Their efforts led them to identify a suspect, 36-year-old Timothy Lamar Williams. The day after the fatal shooting, detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division located and apprehended Williams at an apartment on Cheyenne Boulevard. He was subsequently charged with criminal homicide for the death of Chris Bond II.
