In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Pageland, South Carolina, a tragic series of events unfolded that ended the life of 9-year-old Brody Langley. On September 28, 2025, the young boy was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Blue Sky Mart gas station. Investigators determined that Brody's parents, Raven Nicole Deese and James Franklin Langley, had brought him to a pre-arranged fight between a teenage family friend and another youth over a girl.
