Black male, Sean Avery Davis, 17, a Pageland high school athlete and rising senior, was shot and killed on the night of Friday, July 18, 2025, during the Pageland Watermelon Festival. Police said the gunfire erupted just after 10 p.m. in the heart of town, where crowds had gathered for one of the community's most anticipated summer events.
