In the summer of 2025, a life was tragically cut short in Rochester, New York. On August 1st, 38-year-old Roger Coley Jr. was found deceased inside an apartment on Niagara Street. The grim discovery was the result of a violent altercation that had transpired earlier.
Authorities reported that Coley had been involved in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation with another man.
In the heat of the moment, the other individual, identified as 24-year-old Anthony Robinson, allegedly brandished a shotgun and fired, striking Coley in the face. The single gunshot proved to be fatal, and Robinson fled the scene, leaving a life extinguished in his wake.
The Rochester police, in conjunction with a United States Marshals Violent Felony Fugitive Task Force, launched an investigation to bring the person responsible to justice. Their efforts led them to a location on Glenwood Avenue, where they located Robinson. He was taken into custody without incident, a swift conclusion to the manhunt.
Following his apprehension, Anthony Robinson was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Roger Coley Jr. It was also revealed that Robinson had outstanding warrants for assault within the city and for criminal possession of a stolen car with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, painting a broader picture of his alleged criminal activities.
