Jamorine Demarcus Cook, a 27-year-old Black male from Grenada, Mississippi, was shot in the early morning hours of Monday, May 26, 2025. Police were called to the 200 block of Levee Street around 2:30 a.m., where officers found Cook suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds; he was rushed for treatment but did not survive.
