In the early morning hours of October 7, 2025, the life of 30-year-old Mercedes Harris was tragically cut short in Grenada, Mississippi. Officers from the Grenada Police Department were dispatched to West Pecan Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Harris, a male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response of paramedics, he was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grenada County Coroner.
