In the autumn of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon calm in a Grenada, Mississippi neighborhood, tragically ending the life of 17-year-old Alexander Trevone Farmer, who was known to his friends and family as Trey. On the afternoon of October 12, 2017, the young Black male was driving a vehicle on Adams Street when the shots rang out.
