In the small city of Grenada, Mississippi, the holiday season was shattered by violence when 39-year-old Edwyn Jamar Sims, a local man, was shot and killed. The incident unfolded on the evening of Friday, December 29, 2023, just after 8:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Mound Street. When Grenada Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that a male subject had been shot.
