On January 28, 2024, 36-year-old Charles Santez Coffey was fatally shot in Grenada, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 2:32 a.m. in the 800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where Coffey was found deceased outside a dwelling near local businesses. Grenada County Coroner Douglas Yates pronounced him dead at the scene.
