Lasine McKinnon, 48, a Black/African American male from Greenwood, Mississippi, was killed on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. That night ended with sudden gunfire and a scramble for answers, and by the time authorities pieced together the first facts, the Leflore County coroner confirmed that Lasine McKinnon, 48, male, had died from gunshot wounds alongside another Greenwood man, Demetrius McClain, 41.
