On May 10, 2025, 20-year-old African American male Dontavious Nellum was fatally shot in Greenwood, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. on Virden Drive. Following the shooting, Dontavious Nellum was transported to Greenwood Leflore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m.
