In the late morning of May 10, 2025, tragedy struck in Greenwood, Mississippi, when 20-year-old Dontavious Nellum, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. on Virden Drive. Emergency services responded, and Nellum was quickly transported to Greenwood Leflore Hospital for medical attention.
