In the spring of 2024, the life of Reginald Spivey, a 28-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On the evening of March 31st, gun violence erupted in Greenwood, Mississippi, leaving Spivey fatally wounded. He was a truck driver from the local area. The incident, which also resulted in injuries to three other individuals, took place outside the Premier Club on U.S. 49. Emergency services transported Spivey to Greenwood Leflore Hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe.
