Marcus Gordon, a 26-year-old resident of Greenwood, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on June 11, 2021, due to multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred late Friday night in a vacant lot located at 115 Avenue G. According to Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders, Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene early Saturday morning. The shooting was one of several homicides in Leflore County that year, highlighting a troubling trend of gun violence in the area.
