Cameron Smith, age 33, a man from Lanham, Maryland, was shot on the night of May 19, 2025, in the 9300 block of Lanham Severn Road. Officers responding around 8:20 p.m. found Cameron Smith suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later. A second man was also struck by gunfire during the same incident but survived with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
