In the spring of 2021, a domestic dispute in Lanham, Maryland, escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving one brother dead and the other facing murder charges. On the morning of May 7, 2021, police were called to an apartment in the 9900 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a shooting. Inside, they discovered 39-year-old Bryan Pailin suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
The investigation into the death of Bryan Pailin, a man from Morningside, quickly focused on his younger brother, 29-year-old Dominick Pailin of Lanham. The tragic incident was the culmination of an ongoing dispute between the two brothers. Following the shooting, Dominick was taken into custody by the Prince George's County Police.
During an interview with detectives, Dominick Pailin reportedly admitted to shooting his brother. He was subsequently charged with first and second-degree murder, as well as other related charges, in connection with the death of his brother, Bryan. The Homicide Unit of the Prince George's County Police Department continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
