On Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2024, a welfare check in Lanham, Maryland, led to the discovery of a grim scene. In a parking lot in the 7700 block of Annapolis Road, authorities found the body of 27-year-old Armando Cousins-Stoute. He had been fatally shot. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene around 11:30 a.m. Cousins-Stoute was of no fixed address.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the shooting.
At this time, detectives have not determined a motive for the killing and have not identified any suspects. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the circumstances that led to Cousins-Stoute's death.
In an effort to generate leads, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for any information that results in an arrest and indictment in the case. So far, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Homicide Unit or Crime Solvers, with the option to remain anonymous.
