On the evening of July 8, 2025, 18-year-old male Omarrel Sahon Ford Jr. was shot near the intersection of West South Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Pontiac, Michigan, just west of Woodward Avenue. Deputies found him lying unresponsive in a vacant field with a gunshot wound to the chest; lifesaving measures were attempted and he was transported to a hospital, where he died.
