On a summer evening in Pontiac, Michigan, tragedy struck, forever altering the lives of several families. On July 8, 2025, 18-year-old Omarrel Sahon Ford Jr. was fatally shot in a vacant field near the intersection of West South Boulevard and Highland Avenue. First responders found him unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite life-saving efforts and being rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
