Sharita Cristwell, 29, a Black/African American woman, was found fatally shot inside a Prince George’s County apartment on the afternoon of July 5, 2025. Officers were called around 3:35 p.m. to the 700 block of Stretford Way in the Landover area, where first responders pronounced her dead at the scene. Early reports described the location as within the greater Hyattsville/Landover corridor, and police quickly identified the shooting as domestic in nature.
