Leslie Yvette Davis, a 54-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot to death inside her home in Landover, Maryland, on May 10, 2025. The incident occurred while she was babysitting her four grandchildren during a Mother's Day weekend sleepover. Authorities discovered her body in her bedroom after her daughters arrived to pick up their children. The young children had remained in the home for several hours after the shooting, unaware of the tragedy that had unfolded.
