Julia Fils-Aime, a 21-year-old resident of Hyattsville, Maryland, tragically lost her life on August 1, 2007. Julia was murdered during a robbery that took place while she was walking with her boyfriend, Von Kelley, through a park. The couple was approached by Kenneth Billow Jenkins, III, who attempted to rob them at gunpoint. When Kelley and Fils-Aime began to empty their pockets, Jenkins shot Kelley in the arm and then fatally shot Fils-Aime.
