In the early moments of July 23, 2025, the life of Donte Darius Griffin, a 31-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in Southwest Baltimore. Just after midnight, at approximately 12:05 a.m., patrol officers responded to a call of a person lying in the street in the 500 block of North Edgewood Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Griffin unresponsive, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
Medics were called to the scene, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased right there on the roadway.
