In the early morning hours of June 24, 2024, the sound of gunfire pierced the quiet of a Baltimore neighborhood. A ShotSpotter alert prompted a swift response from the Baltimore Police Department, who were dispatched to the 2500 block of Calverton Heights at approximately 2:46 a.m. As officers canvassed the area, their search led them to the 800 block of North Warwick Avenue, where they discovered a grim scene.
There, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, lay 19-year-old Brandon Faison, a Black male.
Emergency medical personnel arrived quickly and transported Faison to a local hospital. Despite their efforts, the young man's injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead. The initial investigation into Faison's death has yet to determine a motive for the shooting, leaving his family and community searching for answers. In an effort to generate leads, the Baltimore Police Department released footage from a neighborhood doorbell camera. The video shows two males on a porch near where the fatal shooting occurred, and authorities have appealed to the public for assistance in identifying one of the individuals whose face is visible.
As the investigation continues, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Brandon Faison. The case remains open, and detectives are actively pursuing any information that could lead to the apprehension of those responsible. To encourage individuals to come forward, Metro Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $8,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and charges in the case. Authorities continue to urge anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact Homicide Detectives or Metro Crime Stoppers.
