In the early morning hours of December 30, 2018, the life of a promising young athlete was tragically cut short on the streets of West Baltimore. Damien Claridy, an 18-year-old Black male, was found by police in the 400 block of Gold Street with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community to mourn the loss of a life full of potential.
