On a summer evening in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of 33-year-old Corey Jermaine Drake was tragically cut short. On July 30, 2021, police responded to a Shot Spotter alert in the 1500 block of Presstman Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. This man was later identified as Corey Jermaine Drake.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, and Drake was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his critical
injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he ultimately succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead. The cause of his death was ruled a homicide.
Following the incident, the Baltimore Police Department's homicide detectives took charge of the investigation into Drake's death. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact the police or the Metro Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line.
