In August of 2021, a welfare check on a residence in the 1400 block of Aisquith Street in Baltimore, Maryland, led to a grim discovery. Inside, officers found 45-year-old Jason McNair unresponsive with trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations into the male's death began immediately, though a motive was not initially clear.
For over two years, the case remained without a public resolution.
The investigation into McNair's fatal stabbing continued, and eventually, homicide detectives identified a primary suspect. In November 2023, an arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Jenita Foster of Baltimore. On November 9, 2023, Foster was apprehended during a traffic stop. A firearm was also recovered from her at the time of the arrest.
Following her arrest, Jenita Foster was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with first-degree murder and additional handgun violations. The case is now moving through the legal system. Court proceedings have been scheduled, with a trial anticipated to take place in the fall. The prosecution has indicated a need for more time to gather evidence for the trial.
